My Physalis essential oils

If you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m very much into essential oils. I use them on a daily basis and I get my Physalis oils, which I highly recommend, from Holland and Barrett.

The first oil I’d like to mention is my Lavender oil. This must be one of my absolute favourites as I use this oil the most! When it comes to skincare, I love using a few drops of this, together with a few drops of cedar oil mixed in Hammamelis water. It helps to get clear skin and it makes my acne heal faster. Plus, it smells devine and relaxes my senses! I also love using this in my diffuser -sometimes mixed with rosemary oil- to treat my migraines. I feel like the nausea just goes away a little faster and the smell calms me down. This is really an oil that I would use all day every day!

My second favourite must be my Cedar oil. I had to get used to the strong scent at first, but I’ve grown fond of it and it’s an oil that I keep refilling time and time again. I always wanna have it in my home, since it works so well with treating acne. I usually combine it with Lavender and Hammamelis water, but I’ve also used it on a cotton swab to dab it on my pimples. When used in a diffuser, it makes your house smell like a forest!

Rosemary oil is one of the first oils I bought and I’ve mainly used in in my shampoo to treat my oily but somehow sometimes dry and irritated scalp. I hear that it’s great for hair loss so I’m planning on using it a lot more this year. Men can also benefit from this of course! I have also used it on my skin since it helps with balancing the sebum production, but this has a very strong smell so be careful! Using this oil in my diffuser when I have a migraine helps me get my appetite back just a bit. Smells like my mom’s cooking! J

Eucalyptus oil is also a very popular oil since it can be used to treat symptoms of a cold and it’s also a great oil to use when you want to clean your bathroom! I use this probably a few times a week in our diffuser and also made a custom bathroom and toilet cleaning spray. It’s antibacterial and is a great alternative for harsh chemicals. I also sometimes use it on my skin since my skin is a little acne prone.

A little more recently I purchased Palmarosa oil which is considered to be a lot like tea tree oil and I find the scent to be even more strong. I do admit that it’s not my favorite scent and therefore I use the oil very carefully. My suggestion would be to use it just a little bit in a diffuser and to be very cautious when putting it on your skin. Make sure that you have a good carrier base and be aware that this oil might irritate your skin. This oil is said to balance out sebum production which is great for oily skin like mine, and that’s why I got it in the first place. I mixed this up with my Hammamelis water so I could use this as a toner. My boyfriend Armin loves the scent of this oil by the way!

Lastly, the most recent oil I purchased is Orange essential oil. When used as aromatherapy, it lifts up your mood and makes you feel refreshed. I like using this during the day since I’m mostly working from home. Keeps me awake! Also, I put a few drops in my body lotion since it’s a good oil to prevent cellulite and it keeps me smelling fresh and fruity all day long!
