Has it made my skin less oily and does it matify my skin throughout the day? My skin does feel more matified just after cleansing, however, I feel like this does not have an impact on the 'oiliness' of my face the rest of the day. I still need to use my blotting papers and I need to touch up my make-up if needed.
Any downsides to this product?
The smell: it doesn't smell bad but it smells very...'chemically' if that makes sense. It's not a nice smell like roses or lavender or something. It smells kinda odd and it made me hesitant to put it on my skin, but after rinsing my skin, the smell is gone so no worries. Also, I think it dries out my skin a little more than I would like but that's not something a good moisturizer can't fix ;)
Alissa got this cleanser for Armin but I have to admit I 'stole' it from him since he's not that into skincare and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have very oily and acne prone skin, like mine. So... I've been using this cleanser for a few times a week for almost 10 months I think and these are my thoughts so far:
When it comes to my skin feeling clean, I have to say that this makes my skin feel more clean and fresh than my Balea cleanser (which is the daily cleanser I use). It feels like all the access oil is really all gone. Vichy claims that this cleanser will remove everything from makeup to oil to dirt and everything in between. And I feel like it does just that!
Vichy also claims that it minimizes large pores and gets rid of skin imperfections. I'm not sure if that is the case with my skin though... I think my pores still look the same.
It does get rid of acne and redness much faster than my daily cleanser. I have to give Vichy a thumbs up for that. I LOVE knowing that the inflammation will be gone in just 1 or 2 days with this product :) I even use this on my decolleté, back and shoulders since I've been 'blessed' with acne on those body parts as well.
So, do I like this product and do I recommend it?
YES, I like this very much and this is definitely one that I'm keeping in mind. Maybe I would purchase it again. I feel like this really cleanses my skin and gets rid of acne pretty fast, without leaving my skin completely destroyed afterwards. It does not help to prevent acne, especially not back- or shoulder acne, so I'd find a different product for that.
